Koala’s owner, Nicki, is a native Pittsburgher who fell in love with an Aussie. After getting married, the two lived locally, grew a family, and moved to Australia. Over a decade ago they moved back to north Pittsburgh. Nicki was inspired to open up the Koala Coffee and Tea House and serve the coffee and pastries her husband misses from his Melbourne hometown. And, thanks to the amazing support of the community, Nicki was able to expand and use her stylist roots to build Koala Boutique.
